The funding program of up to £4,000 is available for international students studying or planning to study in undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The University of Huddersfield was founded in March 1992. The university is organized into six academic schools. Its International Study Centre (ISC) offers degree preparation courses for worldwide students.

Eligibility
- Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in any field of study.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible for the merit-based scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an international fee-paying student.
- Be applying for a full-time taught undergraduate or postgraduate course.
- Fully self-funding their studies means they are not receiving any funding.
- For postgraduate, applicants must have achieved a minimum 2.1 or equivalent in their undergraduate degree and must meet the English and academic entry requirements for their course.
- Master’s by Research programs are not eligible for these scholarships.
- Master’s with placement in the Huddersfield Business School are not eligible for these scholarships. Master’s with placement courses in the School of Computing and Engineering may be eligible on the confirmation of academic achievement.
- International students are applying to the School of Arts and Humanities, MA TESOL, with Placement in Nursing and Allied Health Professional courses (Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, and Operating Department Practice).
- Applicants with refugee, asylum-seeker status, or indefinite leave to remain in the UK are not eligible.
How to Apply
- How to Apply: Before applying for a scholarship, applicants must submit an admission application for their chosen degree course, and they will automatically be considered.
- To apply for an undergraduate course, apply to the UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) website.
- Complete and submit an online application form to apply for most postgraduate full-time programs.
- If the applicant is an international student, they must complete the international application form.
- Supporting Documents: Applicants will need to provide the following information as part of the application:
- Academic transcripts/mark sheets and certificates/diplomas
- English language test scores* (IELTS, PTE, etc.)
- Personal statement/statement of purpose
- Two references
- Sponsorship confirmation (if your fees are going to be paid by your government or other organization)
- A CV detailing your employment and work experience, if applicable
- Portfolio for many courses in Art, Design, Architecture, and Music.

- Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet all the entry requirements of their chosen course before applying (entry requirements for undergraduate study).
- Language Requirement: Applicants who have not completed their education in a UKVI-defined majority English-speaking country within the last two years. They must satisfy the university’s language requirements before admission.
Benefits
The University of Huddersfield will provide awards for international students based on their academic achievements:
- Undergraduate students could be awarded up to £2,000-£4,000 for every year of their course
- Postgraduate students could be awarded up to £3,000-£4,000 for every year of their course
- For students who are applying with a country of domicile of China, the full scholarship is £2,000.
