Students are invited to the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Scholarship launched by Robert Gordon University and NDDC for the academic year 2024-2025.
The scholarship aims to support Nigerian students pursuing an on-campus full-time Postgraduate and PhD degree program at the university. Selected candidates will receive full tuition and some costs depending on individual circumstances.

Eligibility

- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Postgraduate and PhD degrees in Accounting & Finance, Architecture, Construction & Surveying, Business & Management, Computing, Energy, Engineering, Law, and Pharmacy & Life Sciences subjects offered by Robert Gordon University.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
MSC
- A minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) qualification in their first degree or a Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant industry experience
- Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
- Must have 5 O/level credits including the English Language
PHD
- Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
- A minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) in their first degree and a good second-degree certificate;
- Must submit a research proposal relevant to the oil and gas industry (of not more than 5 pages) to include: Topic, introduction, objective, methodology, and mode of data collection;
- Applicants must also include their master’s degree project.
How to Apply
- How to Apply: Applicants curious about applying for the scholarship must submit an admission application via the RGU Application Portal. After that, the Students should then apply directly to the PTDF SCHOLARSHIP MANAGEMENT PORTAL.
- Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit all the following at the university:
- Recent passport photograph
- Local Government identification letter
- Postgraduate admission letter from a recognized Overseas University
- Relevant Degrees from recognized Universities
- Y.S.C Discharge /Exemption Certificate
- Admission Requirements: Students must complete the relevant entry requirements for admission to their preferred program.
- Language Requirement: Students must meet English language requirements to be able to study at the university.
