Candidates with documents entitling them to study issued outside Poland
REGISTRATION ON-LINE IN IRK SYSTEM
- Create your individual registration account in the IRK system;
- Activate your account by clicking the activation link sent to your email;
- Complete your personal data;
- Complete information about the documents that entitle you to apply for a chosen field of study;
- If you do not have a document confirming your knowledge of Polish or English, take the exam organised by the University of Gdansk. Please note that candidates who wish to participate in the exam are required to pay a recruitment fee of PLN 85 before the exam date;
- No later than 5 working days before the end of registration for the chosen course of study, send the complete set of required documents to the e-mail address indicated in the IRK system in order to verify your eligibility and convert your grades from your foreign diploma to the Polish grading scale;
- Wait for feedback from a member of staff of the Recruitment Office or the Foreign Students Office, confirming that the results have been converted and that scans of accepted documents have been uploaded to the IRK system;
- Once you have been informed of the converted results, sign up for the course;
- Pay the recruitment fee for each course of study. Check that the fee has been assigned to the correct field of study. IMPORTANT: the fee paid for the Polish or English language exam will be assigned to the first course you enrolled in;
- Check the date and location of the exam (applies to selected courses only).

SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS
Candidates with ‘qualified’ or ‘reserve’ status who have received their education outside Poland until the announcement of the admission list may:
- use scans of the required documents and deliver the original paper documents no later than 30 October 2023 to:
- Recruitment Office – in the case of EU/EFTA nationals and persons in possession of one of documents listed below:
- passport
- Card of Pole (Karta Polaka)
- permanent residence card + decision on granting permanent residence permit in Poland
- formal decision on Polish origin
- formal decision on refugee status granted by the Republic of Poland
- formal decision on temporary protection in the territory of Poland
- formal decision on subsidiary protection in the territory of Poland
- long-term residence permit of the EU
- document confirming the type and degree of kinship with Polish citizen (spouse/ascendant/descendant)
- Polish language certificate issued by PKPZJP (min. C1 level)
- formal decision in temporary residence permit on the basis of art. 159 sec.1 or art. 186 sec. 1 pt. 3 or 4 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on foreigners along with temporary residence card.
- Foreign Students Office – for all other Candidates.
- deliver the original paper documents within 4 days after the announcement of the list of candidates to the offices listed above.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF LIST OF ADMITTED (Announced after committee hours)
Check whether you have been admitted to your studies.
A “reserve” candidate takes the place of a “qualified” person (according to the ranking) in the event that this person has not provided complete documents by the required deadline, has resigned from the recruitment process or has been disqualified.
The submission of complete paper documents to the Recruitment Office or the Foreign Student Office is a prerequisite for enrolment and the receipt of a student card.
If you have not been accepted, await information from the commission on supplementary enrolment.

- Select field(s) of studies and enter the results that constitute the criteria for the course;
- Upload good quality scans of documents proving additional eligibility (Olympiad, competition, sports class). The committee will verify the files once registration is complete.
- If you do not have a document confirming your knowledge of Polish or English, take the exam organised by the University of Gdansk. Please note that candidates who wish to participate in the exam are required to pay a recruitment fee of PLN 85 before the exam date;
- Pay the recruitment fee for each course of study. Check that the fee has been assigned to the correct field of study. IMPORTANT: the fee paid for the Polish or English language exam will be assigned to the first course you enrolled in;

Candidates with ‘qualified’ or ‘reserve’ status who have received their education in Poland must deliver the original paper documents within 4 days after the announcement of the list of candidates to relevant Admission Committee.

Failure to submit a complete set of required documents by the deadline will result in an electronic decision of non-admission to the course.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF LIST OF ADMITTED (Announced after committee hours)
Check whether you have been admitted to your studies.
A “reserve” candidate takes the place of a “qualified” person (according to the ranking) in the event that this person has not provided complete documents by the required deadline, has resigned from the recruitment process or has been disqualified.
If you have submitted your documents to the committee but you did not meet the limit of places in the course of study, the committee will send your documents back to the address indicated in the IRK system within 14 calendar days of the announcement of the admission list.
If you have not been accepted, await information from the commission on supplementary enrolment.

will receive a referral for medical examination conducted by a doctor of occupational medicine.
Students are then obliged to submit medical certificate confirming lack of contraindications to undertake studies, issued as a result of this examination, to the Dean’s Office.
