Apply for “HAW Hamburg Scholarships in International Activities, Germany 2024/2025”
Hamburg University of Applied Sciences is delighted to offer Scholarships in International Activities to high-caliber international students who wish to study in Germany. The scholarship will be awarded for the academic year 2024-2025.
The scholarship is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with an aim to support the fees of bachelor or master degree studies of international students at HAW Hamburg. Up to 5 students will be awarded tuition fees for one semester of study.

Eligibility
- Eligible Countries: Students of all foreign countries can apply.
- Eligible Course or Subjects: Bachelor or master’s degree study at HAW Hamburg is eligible to undertake.
- Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- The applicants must be international students at Hamburg who have completed one or two semesters of bachelor or master programme.
- You are an international student at HAW Hamburg (i.e. you obtained your higher education entrance qualification abroad or you have successfully completed preparatory studies at a German Studienkolleg).
- Your average grade is at least 2.5.
- You undertake volunteer work in at least one intercultural programme of the International Office (proof required) e.g. weBuddy Programme, Welcome Weeks, Culture Cafe, country evenings, language tandems
- Bachelor’s students: You’ve been studying at HAW Hamburg for at least two semesters.
- Master’s students: You’ve been studying at HAW Hamburg for at least one semester.

Benefits
The university will give the 3 selected students a sum of €1,800 to cover the tuition fee of one semester of the bachelor or master degree study undertaken at HAW Hamburg.
