St. George’s University (SGU) is offering a need-based Caribbean visionary scholarship in West Indies. Caricom citizens must be enrolled in an undergraduate programme within the School of Arts and Sciences in West Indies. Successful applicants will receive full and partial tuition scholarships. Eligibility: 1. Acceptance to St. George’s University’s School of Arts and Sciences.
2. Caricom citizens who have been residents within Caricom for at least the previous 12 months prior to the application deadline.
3. 2 letters of recommendation.
4. Essay: ‘How do you envision using a degree in your discipline of study to help the Caribbean become more competitive in an interdependent global village?
5. Certificates (CXC, CAPE, Associate degree, etc.) and transcripts from all previous secondary and tertiary institutions.
Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Caricom citizens (Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands are eligible to apply.
Scholarship Description: This program seeks to make tertiary education possible for some of the region’s top scholars who might otherwise be unable to attend university. Recipients, who must be Caricom citizens, will be able to utilize these full and partial tuition scholarships in order to pursue one of the undergraduate degrees within the School of Arts and Sciences at SGU. The Visionary Scholarships are designed to complement the need-based Caricom Undergraduate Scholarship Program (CUSP) already offered by the University.
