The Actuarial Foundation is offering Caribbean Actuarial scholarship for University of the West Indies (UWI) undergraduate actuarial students.The scholarship is intended to be an annual award to University of the West Indies (UWI) actuarial student(s) who demonstrate a strong record of accomplishment, leadership qualities and commitment to becoming an actuary.
The actuarial profession has improved the quality of people’s lives by making possible the prudent management of personal and corporate risk. As social and business circumstances change, actuaries must adapt and expand their ability to contribute to the community.
Study Subject(s): Scholarship is awarded in the field of Actuarial science at University of the West Indies.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for undergraduate student attending the University of the West Indies (UWI), entering second or third year.
Scholarship Award:
-$2,500 – student entering second year of studies
-$2,500 – student entering third year of studies
Scholarship can be taken in Jamaica
Eligibility:
- Must be an undergraduate student entering their second or third year at the University of the West Indies.
- Must be enrolled in UWI’s actuarial science program.
- Must hold a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
Nationality Students entering their second or third year at the University of the West Indies are eligible for this Caribbean Actuarial scholarship.
