Admas University Hargeisa is a branch of Admas University; an internationally accredited and highly reputed higher education institution in Ethiopia.
Admas University Hargeisa officially started its service in 2006 as the first private institute in Hargeisa, Somaliland. Initially the university was mainly providing social science field of studies for undergraduate programs but now it has diversified fields of studies.
The university is symbolized for quality education assured by the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia through the National Quality Assurance agency known as the Higher Education Relevance and Quality Assurance Agency (HERQA). In its nine years of service in Somaliland, the university has widened its service to multidisciplinary areas of academics by incorporating socially relevant field of studies.
As a result, so far it has produced more than 3,000 graduates who are serving key positions in government institutions, NGOs, and private sectors with high integrity and excellence in performance demonstrating the personality they developed in Admas.
Expanding its academic study areas every year using needs assessment of Somaliland community, currently AU has seven faculties with 14 fields of studies. Accordingly, the followings are the high quality academic field of studies we have in our university.

Duration of the Programs
The duration of the undergraduate program is three years with nine semesters. Students are expected to do a graduation project work on areas of their respective departments in the final semester of their third year.
Admission Criteria
1- A secondary school certificate with the grade result set by the Ministry of Education of Somaliland to join university.
2- Two passport size photos.
3- Submission of duly filled registration form
The Distance Learning Program
Distance learning is a way of learning basically without going to classes every time which is also a method instruction delivery for students who are not able to attend a regular learning programs for various reasons.
The distance program of Admas University is creating the opportunity for those who have the desire to peruse their education but challenged by many constraints such as fulltime commitment to job or distance and time constraints.
Accordingly, this program has been and still is a smart choice by many Somaliland community members. So far the distance program of Admas University has served more than 25,000 students both here in Somaliland and Ethiopia in the past ten years.
The flexibility in teaching and the choice for students to finish their study in a time convenient for them makes it efficient and effective for the target customers.
The program also sets tutorial classes for students from time to time with an intention of assisting distance learning program students in dealing with any challenging topics in their respective courses of studies.
