Eligibility
- Canadian applicants are eligible for these scholarships.
- These scholarships are available to pursue a masters or doctoral degree.
- Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Awarded annually on the basis of superior academic standing to two (2) students registered full-time in a masters or doctoral degree program in any department within the Faculty of Arts whose research is relevant to Lebanese Studies. Students registered in masters programs are eligible to hold awards during the first 2 years of their programs and students registered in doctoral programs are eligible to hold awards during years 1-5 of their programs.
How to Apply
- How to Apply: Applicants can apply via email. Eligible students must submit their completed application package to the Assistant Chair of Graduate Studies within their department. The Associate Chair of Graduate Studies should then complete their section (“Comments” section) of the application form, and submit the entire application package to the Associate Dean Graduate Studies, c/o Nancie Hodgson (nancie-at-ualberta.ca).
- Supporting Documents: To apply, students provide a completed application form; 2. A copy of the student’s graduate transcripts; and 3. A letter of application addressed to the Associate Dean (Graduate Studies). The letter should outline their research interests in the study of Lebanon and its people and suggest how the funds will be used to contribute to their studies.
