Apply for “CHED-CBIE Scholarships for Filipino Students in Canada, 2024/2025”
The Commission on Higher Education of the Philippines is providing CHED-CBIE Scholarship available to the brightest candidates for studies/research starting in September 2024.
Applicants who have the nationality of Filipino are permitted to access this program. Interested students can apply for the PhD sandwich program with a degree in the Philippines.
The main focus of the CHED-CBIE grant is to boosts students for academic positions, educational leadership, research, policy formulation and teacher training.
Established in 1994, The Commission on Higher Education is a governing body incorporating both public and private institutions of higher education in all tertiary educational institutions as well as degree-grant programs in the Philippines.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- You should have at least a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree relevant to the PhD degree being sought.
- Be in good health and of good moral character.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record.

Benefits
The program is entirely funded by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED), which has entrusted the management of the program to the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE).
