This four-year scholarship is available for a plant modeling project to all domestic and international students towards a PhD programme at UQ. Students that get selected will receive a yearly stipend of $28,854.

- The applicants must demonstrate academic achievement in the field/s of mathematical and computational principles for modeling and the potential for academic success.
- The applicants must have a background or knowledge of plants, or other biology is highly desirable.

- How to Apply: Students need to start their PhD applications online on the university portal. To apply for the scholarship, students must follow the steps below:
- Select ‘My higher degree is not collaborative.’
- Select ‘I am applying for, or have been awarded a scholarship or sponsorship.’
- Select ‘Other,’ then ‘Research Project Scholarship’ and type in ‘SHOOT-BEVERIDGE‘ in the ‘Name of scholarship’ field.
- Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
- Academic transcripts

- Passport
- Letter of recommendation/reference
- Proof of citizenship
- Admission Requirements: The applicants must hold Bachelor’s degree from an approved university with at least honors class IIAor equivalent or a research master’s degree or coursework master’s degree with an overall grade point average of 5.65 on the 7-point UQ scale or a postgraduate degree (at least one year full-time or equivalent) with an overall grade point average of 5 on the 7-point UQ scale or Bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of relevant research experience, including research publications.

Benefits
PhD candidates selected by the University of Queensland will be given $28,854 per annum for 3.5 years, with the possibility of 1 extension in line with UQ and RTP Scholarship Policy.
