Applications are invited for Emory Scholars Program available for international incoming first-year students. These merit-based scholarships ranging from partial tuition awards to full cost of attendance are renewable for four years of undergraduate study, provided students maintain high standards of personal and academic excellence. All scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of outstanding merit without regard to financial need, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran/Reserve/National Guard status or national origin. Scholarship Description: Emory College, Oxford College, and the Goizueta Business School offer merit-based scholarships to incoming first-year students through the Emory University Scholars Program. This highly selective program not only recognizes and provides financial awards to exceptional students with a history of academic excellence and outstanding extracurricular engagement, but also challenges those students to utilize their talents to impact the Emory community, Atlanta, and the world. Selection into the Emory University Scholars Program comes with the expectation that each Scholar will invest energy in active engagement with the community of Scholars and use the resources and support provided by the Program to shape the future of the University. Emory University Scholars are “intellectually carbonated” individuals, leaders among their peers, and “spark plugs” in their communities. They are forward-thinkers who stretch the boundaries of intellectual inquiry, artists with distinctive talents and creativity and difference-makers that act as catalysts for positive change. Selection Criteria: The selection for merit-based scholarships is administered by the Emory University Office of Undergraduate Admission in conjunction with Emory College, Oxford College and the Goizueta Business School. The scholarship selection process remains separate from the financial aid application process and will have no impact on a student’s need-based financial aid award. Selection of scholarships is highly competitive. Scholarships are renewable for four years of undergraduate study, provided students maintain high standards of personal and academic excellence. All scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of outstanding merit without regard to financial need, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran/Reserve/National Guard status, or national origin.
Notification: Successful applicants will be notified in Late January. If selected as a finalist, students will be required to attend the finalist interview weekend in February / March.
How to Apply: To be considered for the Emory University Scholars Program (including the Woodruff, Oxford, and Goizueta Scholarships), students must select one of Emory’s three admission decision plans (Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision). Students must submit all required application materials by the November 15 Emory University Scholars Program deadline—if your selected admission plan is ED II or RD. Students applying ED I may apply for the Scholars program, but need to meet the November 1 deadline for all materials.
